The first half was a back and forth affair, where both teams took more than half of their shots from behind the three-point line. The Blue Knights shot 47% on 8 of 17 shooting, while the Raiders hit 10 of 23 at a 43% clip. The score was 48 to 47 at the break, with Dakota County with the one-point advantage.
The second half was more of the same form the both teams. However, GRCC knew the Blue Knights would try to close out hard on three point tries, so the Raiders did most of their damage in the second half by getting to the rim. GRCC would improve from their first half three point shooting percentage but with much less volume, connecting on 7 of 12 tries at 58%. The onslaught by the Raiders and accurate marksmanship from long range helped distance GRCC from Dakota County in the second half. GRCC would out score the Blue Knights 52 to 30 in the second stanza, making for a comfortable 21-point victory, 99-78.
Ca'Nas Coleman's 31 points, eight rebounds and four assists led the Raiders in scoring while ever steady,
Zachary Pangborn scored a very efficient 26 points on 14 shot attempts. Three other Raiders scored in double figures with
William Otole netting 15,
Darron Ewing Jr. 11 and
