Box Score Danville, IL. – GRCC's Men's Basketball team bounced back after their opening round loss to Danville Area CC by beating #16 seed Ulster County 98-88 in the first consolation game of the tournament. After the win, GRCC advances to Friday's 9am CT game against the winner of Louisburg and Dakota County. If the Raiders should win that game, they will play in the 7
th place game on Saturday, March 24
th at 12pm CT.
GRCC was paced by their outstanding three-point shooting, nailing 15 of their 32 attempts. GRCC had six different players in double figures, paced by
Samuel Ryans' and
Zachary Pangborn's 19 points. Freshman
Ca'Nas Coleman was a force, posting a double-double of 18 points, 10 rebounds and dished out six assists.
Darron Ewing Jr. and
William Otole each had 14 points, while
Diego Robinson added 13 points and 9 rebounds.
Coach Luke Bronkema was very pleased with the performance of his players and their resolve after a difficult loss yesterday. "I thought our guys really shared the ball today, we had 20 assists on 35 made baskets and when we play like we did today, we are difficult to stop."
