Box Score Summit Twp., MI – Jackson College got the best of GRCC's women's basketball team this weekend as the Jets earned the home court win over GRCC 64-54. With the loss, GRCC's women fall to 3-6 in
MCCAA West Play while the Jets improved to that same conference record.
The Raiders are now tied with Jackson for 5
th in the West, five games behind Mid-Michigan and Muskegon who each hold a share of 1
st at 8-1.
Chelsea Palmer led the Jets in scoring and rebounding with 17 points and 10 rebounds while adding 2 blocks and 3 steals. Anastasia Ramos finished the game 11 points and 3 steals. Dajunae Favorite's 8 assists led the Jets. As a team, Jackson out rebounded the Raiders 55-34.
Mya Jordan led the Raiders with 26 points and 11 rebounds with 3 blocks and 1 steal. Jordan shot 10-of-19 from the field and 6-of-9 from the line.
Hallee Breimayer and
Makayla Beld each finished the game with 10 points. Beld added 2 blocks and 2 steals. Breimayer added 8 assists and 4 steals.
Next up for the Raiders are the 8-1 Jayhawks of Muskegon Community College at home this Wednesday at 5:30PM followed by a trip to 4-5 Lansing on Saturday at 1PM.
