Box Score Grand Rapids, MICH – GRCC's women's basketball team cruised past Glen Oaks 59-35 to improve to 5-7 in MCCAA West play.
Makayla Beld finished with 10 points, 12 rebounds and 3 blocks. Beld's double-double is the 13
th she's recorded during the 17-18 campaign
Mya Jordan led the team in scoring with 14 points while adding 9 rebounds.
Hallee Breimayer and
Ashley Bowen each finished with 10 points and 5 rebounds. Breimayer led the Raiders in assists with 9.
Glen Oaks was paced by Gabrielle Russell and Lakara Taylor. Taylor finished with a 14 rebound, 10 point double-double while Russell added 10 points.
GRCC's women dominated the Glen Oaks in the paint recording 56 rebounds to the Vikings 36. The Raiders forced 25 turnovers to rack up 21 steals while turning the ball over themselves 14 times.
The Raiders face the West's #3 Lake Michigan College this Friday at 5:30PM at Lake Michigan.
