Box Score Lansing, Mi.- GRCC women's basketball team improves to one game over .500 with an (11-10) record, after defeating the Lansing Community College Stars this past weekend at LCC.
Makayla Beld had another big night, netting 29 points and adding 11 rebounds, while shooting a very efficient 11-14 for the game. Beld is currently averaging a double-double for the season with 13.6 points per game and 11.4 rebounds per game. Hallee Breimayer had a solid outing with 12 points, 8 assists, and 3 steals. Mya Jordan pitched in with 7 points and 9 rebounds in 23 minutes of playing time.
As a team, the Raiders displayed outstanding ball movement and finished with 24 assists on 27 made field goals. The Raiders also nailed 9 three-point shots for the game. The bench provided a spark scoring 21 points for the Raiders.
Lansing Community College was led by Jaylynn Williams who finished with 26 points and 9 rebounds. Sarah Shultz contributed with 23 points, 8 assists, and 3 steals.
Up next for the Raiders women's basketball team is a home game against Glen Oaks Community College at 5:30pm on Wednesday February 14, 2018. The Raiders hope to make up some ground in the conference with a victory over Glen Oaks. The Raiders currently sit in 6
th place at (4-7) in the MCCAA West and are a game behind Lansing Community College for 5
th place.
GRCC men's basketball team has a home game against Glen Oaks at 7:30pm Wednesday after the women's game is completed.
