Box Score GRCC Men's basketball(4-3) took on the Cornerstone University Golden Eagles JV(1-3) team and put on show as they soared to 98 to 63 victory.
Everything went right for the Raiders in the first half starting with the tip off. The Raiders secured possession and decided to take flight, scoring 62 and shooting .678 from the field.
Once the Raiders had control it appeared that nothing could stop them as every player was in the right place at the right time and shots kept being made. Cornerstone tried to weather the storm but a late second half surge still left them behind by 35 points. The Raiders greatest lead would be by an astounding 47 points and 2nd year Head Coach Luke Bronkema couldn't help but have a smile on his face.
Starter and standout for the Raiders was William Otole who led with 16 points. David Hearns and Sammie Ryans both had 13 points, and Ike Kanu finished with a double double of 10 points 11 rebounds. Another great example of this team's performance was that every member of the roster scored. For the game the team shot .506 as a whole, and .448 for 3-pointers.
The Raiders men's and women's teams head to Alpena CC this Saturday. The last contest for the men left them with a 115 to 85 win.
