Box Score GRCC women's basketball(4-2) took on the Knights of Calvin College(0-4) last night and pulled out another nail-biter, winning 57 to 55.

The Raiders seemed to be a bit out of sync to start the game and that seemed to be the case for the Knights as well. However, a big factor that hurt the Raiders was turnovers. 13 in the first half gave the Knights multiple opportunities to score and they had the lead 34 to 31 heading into halftime.

The second half seemed to bring back the lifeblood and the Raiders started making shots, regaining momentum and eventually the lead. The Knights also started connecting and this started a volley for the lead. Flipping back and forth with 9 different lead changes and bringing the game down to the final seconds. Madelynn Miller would make an open jump shot to take the lead 57 to 55 with 6 seconds left. On the final drive the Knights were stopped as the clock ran out.

Mya Jordan led the Raiders with a double double and almost a triple double with 18 points, 10 rebounds, 6 blocks. Aaliyah Sargent had 10 rebounds and Miller rounded out the second effort with 8 points and 6 rebounds.

GRCC's next game will be away this Saturday against Alpena CC at 4:00 pm.
