Grand Rapids, MI. -- The Grand Rapids Community College Men's Basketball team defeated Muskegon Community College on Friday night at the Ford Fieldhouse 82-68.
 
"We knew if we could be patient and execute we would get good looks, said head coach Luke Bronkema." Against good teams you have to play hard every possession."
 
This is GRCC's second win in a row, following a win at Jackson on February 1. The win gives GRCC a 12-9 overall record, 6-4 in the MCCAA-Western Conference. GRCC is in 5th place in the conference, a half game behind Ancilla and Mid-Michigan CC who play today (Feb. 4). 
 
Jeff Drake-Todd finished with 26 points and 7 assists. Arthur Pearson added 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals. Zach Pangborn stepped up and finished with 14 points all in the second half.
 
"Zach was right in there keeping everyone positive and came out and had a great second half, said Bronkema."
 
GRCC's field goal percentage was 48 percent and 40 percent from the three point line. MCC's field goal percentage was just 31 percent and 30 percent from the three point stripe.
 
"We had great help defense from Darron Ewing Jr. Max  and AJ", said Bronkema." Mike Williams from MCC is a really good player and he was 0 of 6 tonight from three and just 2 of 15 from the field. We credit that to good defense."
