Box Score Grand Rapids, MI. -- The Grand Rapids Community College Women's Basketball team outscored the #6 KVCC Cougars in the second half (32-26), however, the Raiders's lack of scoring in the second quarter was too much to overcome on Friday night (2/24), falling to KVCC 68-54.
Â
"Defensively we get better each game," said head coach Dave Glazier. "Transition defense was better tonight. We forced 16 turnovers. The trouble is we let 4 people get in double figures."
Â
The first time GRCC played KVCC, the Raiders lost 95-35 at KVCC.
Â
Allazae Lloyd finished the game with 16 points, five rebounds, and three assists.
Makayla Beld chipped in 9 points and 8 rebounds.
Maddie Albert added 11 points.Â
Â
"We're better than what we showed them the first time through," said Glazier. "We still have to cut turnovers. We had nine in the first half and only four in the second half."
Â
The Raiders next game is Monday, February 27 on the road against Mid-Michigan Community College at 5:30.
