Battle Creek, MI. -- Strong start from the Men's Basketball team led to a blowout victory over Kellogg CC 89-67 on Wednesday (2/22) night in Battle Creek.
"We came out tough and didn't give them any confidence, said Zach Pangborn. "We passed the ball well through their zone and knocked our shots down."
Arthur Pearson lead all scorers with 22 points, along with three assists and three steals.Jeffrey Drake-Todd finished with 13 points and 8 assists. Corey Jones recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds and Zachary Pangborn added 11 points of his own.
GRCC shot 47 percent from the field and 38 percent from the three-point line.
"We were patient enough to work the ball around and get the open shot," said head coach Luke Bronkema. "We've been focusing a lot on really working the ball around against the zone and making the easy pass. We have a really balanced team and when we do that we are very successful against the zone."
KCC shot 38 percent from the field and shot only 27% from the three point stripe.
"I thought we came out and played with good energy," said head coach Luke Bronkema. "I thought we played well as a team and were very unselfish."
The Raiders next game is this Friday, February 24 vs. Kalamazoo Valley Community College at the Ford Fieldhouse at 7:30 pm.
