Box Score Benton Harbor, MI. -- A slow start doesn't stop GRCC as they secured a huge conference road win over Lake Michigan College on Wednesday night 102-93.
LMC shot out of the gate to take an early 12 point advantage within the first seven minutes of the game. GRCC would claw back to take a their first lead of the game with 10 minutes to go in the first half, 23-21. Positive energy has been emphasized throughout the season for the Raiders and it was evident that it made a significant impact in their win at LMC. GRCC would go into half time with a 51-39 lead and never looked back.
"In the start of the game, LMC hit 3 three pointers in a row, but we continued to stay positive throughout the game," said head coach Luke Bronkema.
Jeffrey Drake-Todd finished with 29 points.
Arthur Pearson impacted the game in every aspect adding 18 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals.
Zachary Pangborn chipped in 15 points and
Maxwell Prendergast added 10 points and 6 rebounds.
Pearson said, "we played with great energy tonight and also attacked well offensively."
The Raiders shot 55 percent from the field on the night and out rebounded LMC 40-32.
The next game for the GRCC men's basketball team is Friday February 17 at the Ford Fieldhouse against Ancilla College at 7:30 pm.
