Grand Rapids, MI. -- Makayla Beld's double-double helped GRCC top Glen Oaks on Friday night at the Ford Fieldhouse 65-41.
 
Beld finished the night with 17 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocks. Allazae Lloyd finished with 14 points, five rebounds, three assists, and five steals. Maddie Albert chipped in 11 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.
 
The Raiders shot 43 percent from the field including 50 percent from the three point line. GRCC sufficated Glen Oaks while on defense, holing GOCC to 22 percent shooting from the field and 24 percent from distance.
 
"I thought we defended well," said head coach Dave Glazier. "We were looser offensively and played together."
 
The Raiders executed their offense with efficiency and it showed with 17 assists on 23 made shots, while valuing the basketball, committing only 16 turnovers. They also shot 50 percent from downtown.
 
"We also got great minutes from our bench," said Glazier. "Angel Murphy had a really good game. She continues to improve and do more for us when we need her to."
 
The next game for the GRCC women's basketball team is Wednesday, February 15 at Lake Michigan College and 5:30PM.
