Grand Rapids, MICH – GRCC's basketball teams travel to Flint tonight for a double header against Mott Community College. The women will get the night started at 5:30PM. The Raiders will arrive with a 5-3 overall record having won their last two games—including a 56-46 win over Calvin JV on Monday to even the record with the Knights after taking a 46-73 loss on November 27
th.
Mott's women are 3-5 overall having split over the weekend with a win over Bay College and a loss to Mid Michigan. The Bears visited Grand Rapids on the November 7
th and were dealt a 49-67 loss by the Raiders.
GRCC's men will start the contest with a 6-1 record having downed both Hope and Grace Bible JV most recently. The Raiders downed the then #8 Bears 88-76 on November 6
th. Mott has since fallen to #14 in the DII poll despite having won 6 straight games since their loss at Grand Rapids. The men's game tips off at7:30PM.
GRCC's men are second in the MCCAA West behind 7-0 Ancilla. Mott's men are 5
th in the East. GRCC's women are fourth in the MCCAA West behind Ancilla, Lake Michigan and Mid Michigan—each having just single losses this season. Mott's Women are 5
th in the East. Wayne County and Macomb hold the top two spots with 4-0 and 7-2 records respectively.
Both Raider teams will next face Aquinas College with the women taking on the JV Saints on December 13
th while the men will face the JV Saints on the 19
th.
