Grand Rapids, Mich. -- Coach Glazier and his Women's Basketball team are slated to play two ball games in the next three days as they continue their non-conference play schedule. The 3-2 Raiders will play at Calvin College JV, Monday at 7:30 pm, and then host Cornerstone University JV, Wednesday at 6:00 pm.
After the Raiders dropped their season opener, they racked off three straight quality wins against MCCAA Eastern Conference foes Mott, Schoolcraft and Delta College. During that three game span, sophomore
Makayla Beld (Hudsonville, MI) averaged 23.6 points, 13.6 rebounds and 3.6 blocks per game, which earned her NJCAA Division 2 player of the week.
Tuesday, November 21st the Raiders returned home only to fall to a very good Hope Flying Dutch team, 65-50. Hope limited the All-Conference forward (Beld) to just 4 points and 3 rebounds. Freshman guard
Hallee Breimayer (Belding, MI) scored a season high 18 points in the loss while Sophomore
Qua Draper (Grand Rapids, MI) chipped in with 10 points. Sophomore
Josie Manion (Saranac, MI) contributed with 7 points, 4 steals and a team high 9 rebounds for the Raiders.
For the season, Beld is still averaging nearly a double-double with 16 points and 9.8 rebounds/game. She leads the team with a .700 field goal percentage and 15 blocked shots. Breimayer is second on the team averaging 11.2 points/game and leads the team in three pointers made with 9. Freshman
Mya Jordan (Kentwood, MI) is nearly averaging a double-double herself with 9.6 points/game and a team best 10.6 rebounds/game. Draper averages a cool 8.0 points/game and 4.2 rebounds/game. For complete Raider season stats, go

The Calvin College JV squad has played two games thus fare this year, beating Cornerstone University 64-52 and then beating Wayne State University 69-66. For Cornerstone JV, they are still looking for their first victory, with losses coming to the Knights, Aquinas College 64-51, and lastly against Concordia University.
