Grand Rapids, MI. -- GRCC improved to 9-7, 2-4 in the MCCAA-West on Friday night (1/20/17) by beating Kellogg CC 55-41. GRCC was led by Allazae Lloyd's 18 points, 10 reb, 5 assists and 6 blocks, Emily Pendred and Josie Manion muscled down 13 and 11 rebounds respectively.
GRCC will face their toughest test in conference play tonight in #9 ranked Kalamazoo Valley. The Cougars are 13-3 (5-1 MCCAA-West) and sporting a five game win streak. If the Raiders hope to win tonight on the road, they must slow down top scorer KaLeah Ryan, who is averaging an efficient 20.4 ppg on 54% shooting from the floor.
The key to tonights game will be to slow down KVCC's potent offense as well as to minimize turnovers and limit transition buckets for the Cougars.
Game time tonight is 5:30PM in Kalamazoo.
