Box Score Donaldson, IN -- The GRCC Men's Basketball team (14-8, 8-4 MCCAA-W) held on to beat Ancilla College (14-11, 5-7 MCCAA-W) 79-73 on Wednesday night, capturing their fourth victory in as many games. The four game winning streak ties the Raiders longest win streak this season and positions the Raiders for a run at the MCCAA-West regular season conference championship. The Raiders have already secured a place in the Region IX district final, however, GRCC remains one game back of first place Lake Michigan College (9-3 MCCAA-W) and are tied at 8-4 (MCCAA-W) with Muskegon and Kalamazoo Valley. There are four games left in the regular season and the race for first place is up in the air.
The Raiders were lead on Wednesday night by four players who scored in double figures.
Cameron Burhannon scored a team high 21 while point guard
DeMarkus Stuckey continued his strong play scoring 20 points, 4 rebounds and added 5 assists to only one turnover.
Gregory Fleming (15 points), three steals and
Calvin Ward III (14 points), four steals, led the way defensively, turning the Chargers over 19 times.
Over the four game winning streak, GRCC has averaged 13 turnovers per game while causing their opposition to average 19 TO's. The Raiders will next face Jackson College on Friday night at 7:30pm in the Ford Fieldhouse.
