Box Score 2 Grand Rapids, Mich – GRCC's men's and women's basketball teams each picked up a win over Kellogg Community College as the women best the Bruins 76-62 while the men won 103-59.
GRCC's women improve to tie for 5
th in the MCCAA West with a 4-5 conference record while 5-12 overall with Muskegon Community College. Both are 5.5 games behind first place Lake Michigan College at 10-0 in conference play.
Lead the Raiders in scoring was sophomore
Stephanie Stevens who finished the night with 24 points. She added 8 rebound and a team-high five steals in 38 minutes of play by the end of the contest.
Danielle Harrison recorded yet another double-double with 14 points and 18 rebounds and was matched in the feat by freshman
Sara Karamol who finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds of her own.
In her first start of the season,
Anna Mansfield went 4-of-5 from behind the arc to finish with 12 points. Mansfield tacked on 2 steals, 2 assists and 6 rebounds.
Kayla Rosinski shot 9-of-10 from the charity line while 3-of-9 from the field to finish with 15 on the night.
Alyssa VandenBerge finishing the night with a solid 8 points and 8 rebounds is just under 20 minutes of play.
GRCC's men downed the Bruins with ease led by freshman
Cameron Burhannon. Burhannon led the Raiders in points and rebounds with 22 and 9 respectively.

Jamal White made their presence known in the post combining for 30 points in just 30 minutes of play total. White added 8 rebounds and two steals before the buzzer sounded.

Devin Longoria delivered 11 points for GRCC shooting 4-of-9 from the field with one assist and one steal in 13 minutes.
Nate Hollenbeck, the only Raider who didn't score a bucket, grabbed 5 rebounds with one steal, one block and two assists in GRCC's route of Kellogg.
The men's and women's teams will travel to Glen Oaks on Saturday to face the Vikings. Glen Oaks' women's squad is a half a game behind the Raiders in the West with a 4-6 conference record while 12-8 overall. The Viking's men lead the MCCAA West with a 9-1 record following last night's road loss to Kalamazoo Valley 74-85.
GRCC's women will have a few nights off following the Glen Oaks game playing next on the 12
th at Muskegon, but GRCC's men will have their work cut out for them as they host #2 South Suburban College on 2/10 at 7:30PM.
