Box Score Benton Harbor, Mich – GRCC's women's basketball team fell to the NJCAA's #6 Lake Michigan College 54-77 after a rough first half against the Red Hawks.

The Raiders shot just 24% in the first half while allowing 13 turnovers allowing the Red Hawks a 12 point 31-19 point lead at the half.

The second half led to far better play for the Raiders, but Lake Michigan matched their efforts and then some.

The Raiders shot 17-of-34 from the field with Stephanie Stevens, Danielle Harrison and Sara Karamol each scoring 8 in the second.  The Red Hawks DeYahnna Styles and LaCorisca Metts answered with 22 points combined as the Hawks shot 62% from the field.

A late 12-0 Red Hawk run put the Hawks over the edge as the Raiders fell 54-77.

Nearly all of GRCC's starting five finished in double digits with Stephens leading the way with 14.  Sara Karamol finished with 13 and both Alyssa VandenBerge and Harrison finished with 10 points.

Harrison recorded her seventh straight double double pairing her points with 12 rebounds.

The loss leaves the Raiders with a 8-7 overall record with one game left to play in the regular season.  GRCC women are now tied for 3^rd in the MCCAA West with Glen Oaks, Lansing and Muskegon Community Colleges.

The Raiders will finish out the regular season on their home court Wednesday night at 5:30PM against Kalamazoo Valley Community College.
