Box Score Grand Rapids, Mich – 's men's basketball team struggled against Jackson Community College's Jets Wednesday night but ultimately pulled off a 91-87 overtime win to improve to 9-4 in conference play.
The Raiders now prepare to face a series of strong conference opponents as they move closer to the start of NJCAA District 9 play on March 4
th.
The first half proved a challenge for GRCC as they shot a miserable 10-of-39 from the field compared to Jackson's 14-of-30.
Miles Robinson led the Raiders in the first half with 9 points and 4 rebounds.
Cameron Burhannon got in the mix with 7 points and three rebounds and
Courtney Hill added five points—two of which were eared while posterizing a Jet with an intense one-handed dunk.
In the second half Mile Robinson and
DeMarkus Stuckey led the charge combing for 30 points and 8 rebounds while
Arthur Pearson added 9.
Ultimately the Raiders eked out the OT win 91-87, but it wasn't pretty.
Robinson led the Raiders in scoring with 23 points. DeMarkus Stuckey trailed with 19—16 in the second half—while recording a team high 9 rebounds and 5 assists.
Pearson and Hill each finished with 9.
Friday night Lansing Community College travels to Grand Rapids for a home contest against the Raiders at 7:30. With rain in the forecast there is a chance this game could be moved off site Friday if the roof of the Gerald R. Ford Fieldhouse is still dripping.
