Women's basketball downs Kellogg 68-56

Box Score Grand Rapids, MI – GRCC’s men’s and women’s basketball teams both advance to the semifinal round of their NJCAA District brackets with wins over Lake Michigan College and Kellogg Community College last night.

The Raider women’s team bested Kellogg’s Bruins 68-56 with Danielle Harrison taking the lead for her Raider squad.  Harrison finished the night with 28 points, her season high, shooting 10-of-20 from the field while 8-of-13 from the line.

Kayla Rosinski added 16 to the board while Danielle Goad delivered eight points of her own.

Kellogg was led in scoring by Jackie Harwood who finished the night with 24 points, four times more points than any other member of the Bruin’s team.
The win advances GRCC to the semifinals against conference rival Kalamazoo Valley who earned a first round bye in the District G Tournament following their impressive 14-2 season in MCCAA play.

The 7:30PM game is hosted at Delta College on Thursday, March 7th.  The winner of that game advances to the NJCAA District G finals.
