The Raiders finished the first half with a 7 point lead as a stunned Glen Oaks team--who led GRCC by 18 just three weeks ago at the half--headed to the locker room.
The first 9 minutes of the second half witnessed GRCC build a lead that reached as many as 22 points. As impressive as that was, it didn’t last long.
Glen Oaks’s Viking team showed what a number three ranking looks like in the ladder half of the second laying out a crippling press and demonstrating pinpoint accuracy from the field.
GRCC’s
Kevin Badger navigated the press to keep the Raiders offense alive, but the Viking’s capitalized on second chance shots as they dominated the offensive boards 17-8.
Daryl White and
Miles Robinson delivered critical points in the second. White was 3-of-4 in the second half while Robinson added a pair of threes to keep the game alive.
As both teams battled for the lead in the late minutes, Glen Oaks put the game on the line, literally.

Willie Duke went 4-of-4 and

Glen Oaks took possession and drove down the floor finding an open James Sanders who knocked down a game-tying three with 8 tenths of a second left to play.
GRCC launched up a desperate buzzer-beater to no avail and the game went into overtime.
The overtime period played out in similar fashion as each team battled for the lead. As the 5 minute period waned, GRCC found themselves up two with seconds to go. The Glen Oaks pushed the ball up the floor as a wide open Tyler Bell gathered himself behind the arc at the baseline.
As the clock expired Bell’s three fell short for a 105-103 GRCC overtime win.

Mustert was 12-14 from the line and added four blocks, two steals and three assists before the game was through.
Deontae Hudson and Daryl White also recorded double-doubles for the Raiders. Hudson finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds while White score 15 with 13 boards.
Kevin Badger delivered 16 points with seven assists, two blocks and two steals.
Miles Robinson and Devin Longoria combined for 21 points from behind the arc.
Willie Duke shot a perfect 4-of-4 from the line while 5-of-7 from the field for 14 points.
The upset win over Glen Oaks leaves GRCC at 6-5 in conference play and 13-8 overall.
Whether the win puts the Raiders back in the national spotlight is to be determined. With a conference record of just over .500, this Raider team knows they’ve got work to do.
