Grand Rapids, MI-- The lady Raiders earned a gritty victory over Glen Oaks CC's Vikings tonight by a score of 75-54. With the win the women move to a 8-7 overall record and an even 3-3 record in conference play.

The game started out on the slow side, with only 6 points scored in the first 8 minutes of play. Both teams were rather sluggish in the first half, before breaking out in the second.

Leading the Raiders were Destiney Robinson with 16 points, Janele Johnson-Ellis with 14, and Caitlyn Patterson with a team high of 16 points. Johnson nearly posted a double-double, coming up just short with 8 steals. Robinson and Johnson-Ellis were forces on defense from beginning to end as well.

Both teams struggled with fouls throughout the game, and found their rosters diminished even further with Tatiyana Walker and Patricia Grayned being ejected for fighting. It is possible that both players will be barred from play in each teams next game.
