Grand Rapids, MI – GRCC’s women’s basketball team couldn’t get into rhythm as they fell to the Jayhawks 50-64.  The Raiders couldn’t find the basket shooting 7-for-31 in the first half and 11/36 in the second.  Despite their better second half, the Jayhawks were too much for the Raiders.  The loss leaves the Raiders at 6-7 overall and 1-3 in the MCCAA.

Leading the Jayhawks in scoring was Sudan Sanders who had 20 points, 9 rebounds and 3 steals.  Samantha Zimmer delivered a double-double for MCC with 13 points and 19 rebounds as well as 4 steals and 4 assists.

The Raiders were led by Destiney Robinson who finished the contest with 14 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals.  Also contributing for the Raiders was Caitlyn Patterson with 10 points, 5 rebounds and one assist.  Hailey Majewski and Katie Mitchell combined for 11 points, 12 rebounds and five steals.

The Raiders will hit the road to face the Chargers of Ancilla College this Saturday at 1:00 PM.
