Holland, MI – The Raiders couldn’t keep up with the Flying Dutchmen on Thursday night, and dropped their second straight game. The girls came out strong and led for the first 6 minutes of play, but Hope fired back and dominated play for the rest of the game.

With an 11-10 lead the Raiders defensive game fell apart and Hope went on a 34-8 run to close out the first half. The Raiders wouldn’t score again until midway through the second half when Kristina Cousins ended the Dutchmen’s run.

Leading GRCC was Janele Johnson-Ellis with 16 points and Hailey Majewski with 10, Center Alyssa Weesie posted 8 rebounds, and Kristina Cousins posted a pair of assists.

The loss brings the raiders to a season record of 3-4. The team will look to regain their confidence and rebound with a win against Cuyahoga CC next Friday during the Lynn Conway Memorial Tournament.
