Nov. 4, 2025, GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Grand Rapids Community College men's and women's soccer teams were well represented in the postseason awards following strong 2025 campaigns, highlighted by several freshmen earning All-MCCAA and All-Region honors.
Women's Soccer
Freshman forward Lanee Lewkowski was named All-Region and Second Team All-MCCAA after a standout debut season. Lewkowski ranked third on the team in minutes played (1,179) and led the Raiders with seven goals and 17 total points, while recording an impressive .478 shots-on-goal percentage.
Three additional Raiders earned Honorable Mention All-MCCAA recognition:
Skyelar Albrecht, a freshman forward, tallied six goals and four assists for 16 total points and led the team with a .656 shots-on-goal percentage.
Myah Lapekes, a freshman defender, logged 1,313 minutes, the most on the team, anchoring a defense that produced five shutouts.
Linde Clark, also a freshman defender, was close behind with 1,247 minutes, playing a key role in the back line all season long.
Freshman midfielder Nadia Perez earned Region XII All-Tournament Team honors after scoring the lone goal in GRCC's historic 1-0 postseason victory over Jackson College — the program's first-ever postseason win.
"I'm incredibly proud of this group," head coach Mario Zuniga-Gil said. "For such a young team to earn multiple All-Conference and All-Region selections speaks volumes about their work ethic and composure throughout the season. Lanee and Skyelar gave us a dynamic attack, while Myah and Linde showed tremendous discipline defensively. Nadia's goal in the playoffs will be remembered as a defining moment for this program."
Men's Soccer
On the men's side, freshman forward Leo Tilly was named Second Team All-MCCAA after a breakout season that included nine goals, three hat tricks, and a team-leading 20 points. Tilly started all 15 matches, posting a .576 shots-on-goal percentage and scoring three game-winning goals.
Four Raiders earned Honorable Mention All-MCCAA recognition, representing the team's strong defensive core:
Luke Carroll, freshman defender, played 881 minutes and contributed to multiple shutouts.
Austin Bouma, sophomore centerback, was second on the team with 1,021 minutes, providing leadership and stability in the back line.
Brady Fox, sophomore centerback, led the team in playing time with 1,166 minutes, starting all 15 matches.
Levi Brumels, sophomore midfielder, logged 959 minutes while playing and starting every match, adding valuable experience to the midfield unit.
"These honors reflect the heart and consistency our players showed every time they took the field," head coach Damiekco Smith said. "Leo's scoring ability gave us a real spark offensively, while our back line was the foundation of everything we did. The recognition for Austin, Brady, Luke, and Levi is well deserved — they played with tremendous composure and leadership all season."
