Grand Rapids, MI—Two members of the GRCC Raiders Women’s Tennis team have earned post season academic honors. Both Katie VanDerLaan and Emily Schreur received All-Conference and All-State Honors from the MCCAA. VanDerLaan was also awarded All-American honors from the NJCAA.
In order to qualify for All-Conference honors, athletes must have completed 36 credit hours and maintained a minimum GPA of 3.0. A GPA of 3.2 must be earned to gain honors at the state level. Both VanDerLaan and Schreur complete their careers at GRCC and have demonstrated model performance both on and off of the court.
VanDerLaan was also awarded the NJCAA Academic All-American award. The award is given to those who have exhibited exemplary academic achievement.
