Freshman outside Garnet Mullet added seven digs and an ace. GRCC's other two setters, Ava Tarsi and Payton Taylor, combined for 22 assists while each also recorded a kill.
Assistant Coach Lena Thompson praised the team's depth and execution:
"We love how balanced we are right now. The fact that so many players are stepping up and contributing makes us really tough to defend. It was another great team win, and we're excited to keep building."
The Raiders now head north for their annual three-match road trip, starting Thursday, Sept. 25, with conference matches at Delta College, Alpena Community College, and Bay College.
Golf
GRCC men's golf closed out three rounds of play at the Folds of Honor Tournament on Wednesday at The Meadows Golf Course in Allendale. The Raiders finished 11th in the strong field, which featured mostly four-year programs, including tournament champion Grand Valley State University, who edged Aurora University by two strokes. FINAL RESULTS
The Raiders carded rounds of 319, 306, and 314 for a three-day total of 939. Freshman Hank Livingston paced the team, firing scores of 79-72-77 to finish +15 and tied for 43rd place among 62 competitors. He led the team with nine birdies and an eagle.

"The team is growing each week and we saw an improvement from last week. Hank had a really good week and our low round of 72. We have a lot of work to do but I am very encouraged with our development so far."
The Raiders return to competition on Sept. 22 at the Battle of Blackthorn in South Bend, Ind.
