Oct. 14, 2023, DONALDSON, Ind. – Anna Tubbergen, Dan Kehoe and Austin Winkle finished in the top-10 for the Grand Rapids Community College cross country teams at the Marian University-Ancilla Invitational on Saturday.

Meanwhile in Muskegon, the women's and men's soccer teams suffered losses to Muskegon Community College.

Tubbergen ran a 19:55 5k, just two seconds from her PR, to pace the women's cross country team.  She finished in fifth place out of 76 runners from around the Michigan Community College Athletic Association.

Elicia Land, 20:33; Emily Adamy, 25:15; and Lillie Burns, 27:00, also had excellent outings despite nasty conditions.  All three women set personal records by over a minute for the Raiders who concluded regular season competition.

Kehoe and Winkle finished ninth and tenth to pace the men's cross country team on Saturday.  Kehoe ran a 27:24 and Winkle ran a PR time of 27:33.

Anthony Lawlor, 29:20; Quinton Dixon, 32:49; Issac De Leon, 35:56; and newcomer Nicholas Webb, 38:29, rounded out the GRCC runners.

Despite being without its number one runner, Joseph VanderKooi, the Raiders managed a solid sixth place finish out of 13 teams.

GRCC's soccer teams didn't fare as well in Muskegon, falling to the Jayhawks 3-0 in the women's match and 1-0 in the men's match.

The women's team fell to 6-11 overall and 4-11 in the conference. The men have now lost two in a row, dropping to 10-3-1 on the season and 6-2-1 in the conference.
