Box Score Grand Rapids, MI – GRCC’s volleyball team opened at home last night with a quick 3-0 win over Lake Michigan College.

The win improves the Raiders record to 13-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play.  Despite a quick three sets, every member of the team got in on the win while hitting .430 on the night.

Leading the Raiders in kills was team co-captain Molly Maynard who finished the game with 9.  Amy Vander Wal’s home court debut since transferring from Cornerstone proved her worth as she delivered 7 kills of her own.

Nicole Czehowski and Kaitlyn Wolters had 6 kills each, and while four other Raiders recorded a few on the night as well.

Defensively Taylor Meyer and Kendall Wolffis led the way with 8 digs each while Kourtney Wolters added 4 total blocks.

Thursday the Raiders visit the Stars of Lansing Community College looking to extend their win streak to five.  Lansing enters Thursday night’s contest with a 1-9 record on the year.
