Grand Rapids, MI-- The GRCC Raiders opened the week on a high note. Kellogg appeared to group together and play strong at times, but the Raiders were able to best them and win 3-0.
In the first set of the evening the Raiders appeared dominant. Kaitlyn Wolters and Kelsey Darling played extremely well from beginning to end, and they received support from the whole team. A mere 15 minutes after the night started the Raiders were up 1-0.
The second set of the night saw the Bruins play with more intensity. The match remained close until the closing moments when frustration proved to get the best of not only the Kellogg CC team, but Coach Keith Julien as well. Julien lost his temper over a questionable call and was issued a red card.
The Bruins never recovered.
The final set seemed to end as quickly as it begun. The Raiders once again dominated the play from beginning to end, and walked away with the victory.
"It was a great start to the week. It's important every member of the team shows up and plays hard every day." Said Coach Chip Will.
