Sept. 27, 2025, ESCANABA, Mich. – The 15th-ranked Grand Rapids Community College volleyball team wrapped up a dominant northern trip with its third consecutive sweep in as many days, defeating Bay College 3-0 on Saturday. The Raiders extended their winning streak to six matches, improving to 8-2 overall and 5-0 in conference play. Bay dropped to 7-7 (2-3).
GRCC set the tone early, rolling to a 25-11 win in the opening set behind a balanced attack that saw seven different Raiders record kills. The team hit .291 in the frame, keeping Bay on the defensive throughout.
The second set featured seven ties before GRCC surged late, finishing on a 7-2 run to pull away for a 25-19 victory.
In the third, the Raiders took control with an eight-point service run from freshman setter Payton Taylor, never looking back on the way to a 25-13 win. The team closed the match with a .316 hitting percentage.

- Kills: Taylor Kik (8), Christina Williams (8, match-high .462 hitting percentage), Vanessa Walker (6, .455), Kaylee Kranz (5)
- Assists: Taylor (season-high 19), Walker (12)
- Aces: Taylor (3), Garnet Mullet (2), Ella Thayer (1)
- Digs: Kik (15), Walker (11), Cece Huizingh (season-high 10), Mullet (8)
- Blocks: Williams (4), Kirstyn Lothschultz (3)
The Raiders now turn their attention to Homecoming Night on Wednesday, October 1 at 6 p.m., when they return home to face North Central College.
