Mar. 5, 2025, GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Grand Rapids Community College freshman Kalani Stowe has been named the NJCAA Softball DII Pitcher of the Week following an incredible string of performances on the mound. The Wyoming High School graduate delivered a no-hitter and a one-hitter while leading GRCC to a perfect 3-0 week, solidifying her place as one of the top pitchers in the country.
Dominating on the Mound
Stowe was nearly untouchable in her outings, throwing two complete-game shutouts and a three-inning no-hit performance. Across the three games, she struck out 26 batters, allowed only one hit, and held opponents to a microscopic .028 batting average.

Feb. 24 vs. Vermont St.-Johnson (First Collegiate Start)
- Complete game No-Hitter.
- 12 strikeouts, 2 walks.
- GRCC Wins 13-0.
Feb. 26 vs. Vermont St.-Lyndon
- Allowed just one hit in four Innings.
- 10 strikeouts, 2 walks.
- GRCC wins 10-0.
Feb. 28 vs. Southeastern CC-Whiteville
- Three no-hit innings.
- 4 strikeouts, 1 walk.
- GRCC wins 13-0.
Making an Impact at the Plate and on the Basepaths
Stowe's contributions weren't limited to pitching—she also shined offensively and on the bases. Over the 12-game stretch, she batted .375 (12-for-32), showing her power with three triples, a home run, and 8 RBIs. She also proved to be a threat on the basepaths, swiping a perfect 10-for-10 in stolen bases.
Conference Honors
In addition to her national recognition, Stowe and her teammate Natalee Beck were named Conference Players of the Week, highlighting their standout performances in GRCC's dominant run.
Raiders' Red-Hot Start
The Raiders were nearly unstoppable in South Carolina, finishing with an impressive 11-1 record. They'll look to continue their success when they return to action on March 18 at Indiana Tech.
