Nov. 30, 2025, SIDNEY, Mich. – Grand Rapids Community College basketball teams wrapped up play at the Montcalm Shootout on Sunday with the women falling in their finale to Macomb Community College and the men bouncing back with an impressive win over Owens Community College.
MEN'S BASKETBALL
The Raiders improved to 7-2 after a high-powered 104–84 victory over Owens Community College, marking the sixth time in their last eight games scoring at least 100 points.
GRCC exploded out of halftime with a 12-0 run, building momentum that never faded. The Raiders shot efficiently across the board — 50% from the field, 43.8% from beyond the arc, and 85% at the free-throw line — while showcasing exceptional ball movement and rebounding.
Three Raiders recorded double-doubles in the dominant effort:
- EJ Bowman — 20 points, career-high 15 assists, 2 steals
- Nate Keil — 22 points (9-of-18 FG), career-high 14 rebounds, 2 steals
- Gaden Muxlow — 12 points, career-high 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals
GRCC also received major contributions from the bench:
- Jared Demoff posted 18 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 blocks.
- McRecco McFadden added 15 points on an efficient 7-of-8 shooting.
The Raiders return to action on Dec. 3, traveling to Muskegon Community College for a 7 p.m. tipoff.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
The GRCC women saw their four-game win streak come to an end, falling 55–45 to a strong Macomb squad that improves to 5-1. GRCC slips to 6-3 on the season.
The Raiders were unable to grab a lead at any point but clawed back late, trimming the deficit to 45–41 with 1:54 remaining before Macomb closed out the game at the free-throw line.
Tianna Daye led GRCC with 10 points and 5 rebounds, while Emma Picarazzi chipped in 9 points and 5 rebounds.
Defensively, Harmonie Belton sparked the effort with 4 steals and a block, and Ta'Tyana Hardiman grabbed a team-high 6 rebounds.
GRCC returns home on Dec. 3 to host Muskegon Community College at 5:30 p.m.
