Oct. 13, 2025, SIDNEY, Mich. – The No. 14-ranked Grand Rapids Community College volleyball team continued its dominant run on Monday night, sweeping Montcalm Community College 3-0 (25-15, 25-12, 25-20) in a Western Conference matchup to extend its win streak to 13 matches.

GRCC rolled through the first two sets behind a balanced attack and strong serving, but had to rally late in the third to complete the sweep. The Raiders fell behind 10-5 before a service ace by Garnet Mullet tied the set at 11-all. The teams traded leads five times before Ava Tarsi took control from the service line, delivering four straight aces to push GRCC ahead 22-18. The Raiders closed it out 25-20 to improve to 15-2 overall and 8-0 in conference play.

"This group continues to show great composure and competitiveness," head coach Chip Will said. "When we were down in the third set, they didn't panic—they just found a way to execute and finish strong."

The win keeps GRCC atop the conference standings and marks the team's seventh consecutive straight-set victory in conference matches.

The Raiders return to action on Sunday, October 20, traveling to North Central Michigan College for another conference showdown. GRCC swept the Timberwolves 3-0 in their previous meeting this season in Grand Rapids.
