Dec. 8, 2023, GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Grand Rapids Community College women's basketball dropped it's second game in a row, losing to nationally ranked Lake Land College, 72-28 on Friday night.
Lake Land (8-2), ranked No. 11 in the latest NJCAA Division II poll, hit six of its 14 total three pointers in the first quarter to lead 20-3 and would never look back. GRCC is now 3-5 on the season.
Everyone in the Raiders lineup finished in the scoring column, led by freshman Ava Schultz who scored seven points. She also added a block and team-high three steals.
Sophia Modderman and Aaliyah Ratliff each scored six points, and Kaylie VanDerHulst had a game-high eight rebounds.
GRCC will play it's final game before the holiday break on Dec. 16, at home against Lansing Community College.
