Dec. 14, 2023, GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Grand Rapids Community College men's basketball scored a season-high 111 points in a 55-point route over the visitors from Washtenaw Community College.
GRCC led 46-24 at the half, and then erupted for 65 points in the second half, on 58 percent from the field, 61 percent from three-point range and 91 percent from the free throw line.
The Raiders also had season highs in field goals made (41), field goal attempts (87), three pointers made (16), rebounds (55), assists (30) and steals (17).
Jack Agema and Javon Golson, making their first starts of the season, had huge nights. Agema was 6-of-10 from the field, 4-of-5 from deep, finishing with a career-high 17 points and five assists. Golson was 5-of-6 from the field, and finished with a career-high 10 points and 17 rebounds. The 17 rebounds was the most of any Raider so far this season.
Joe Francis scored 23 points (9-for-15 FG, 5-9 3-PT FG) in just 14 minutes adding a career-high six steals.
All 13 GRCC players played at least 10 minutes, with no one playing more than 22 minutes.
GRCC will take on Lansing Community College at home on Saturday in its last game before winter break.
