Grand Rapids, Mi.- GRCC Men's Basketball team improves to 15-7 overall and 10-1 at home after a big victory on senior night against Muskegon Community College.
Curtis Davison had a huge game for the Raiders scoring 35 points while knocking down 4 three pointers in the game.
Gregory Robinson notched a monster double-double scoring 18 points with 25 rebounds.
Anthony McIntosh also came up big for the Raiders scoring 31 points and 5 assists while shooting 60% from the floor.
As a team, GRCC scored 54 points in the paint and never lost the lead after gaining the lead early in the first half. The Raiders shot 45% from the field and made ten three-point shots which marks the 10
th time this season that the Raiders have made 10 or more three-point field goals.
Muskegon was led by Daryl Kirkland II and Sergio Diaz, who both finished with 27 points. Dylan Mulder led the team with 10 rebounds.
GRCC hosted its first ever Senior Night Out event, which had the biggest turnout of the year with over 1,000 people in attendance. In addition to that, 97.3 radio station provided live commentary of the game and the Grand Rapids Drive Mascot was in attendance. There were many giveaways for the attendees of the game which included free food, clothing, and half-time giveaways. In addition, GRCC put together tables which allowed high school students from the GRPS system to apply for college scholarships and better prepare students for college. Special thanks to Ottawa Hills High school, Union High school, and the Muskegon fans for attending this event.
Up next for the Raiders men's basketball team is an away game at Lansing Community College on February 10, 2018. Lansing Community College is currently 7-14 overall and hopes to end a two game losing streak against GRCC.
The next home game for the GRCC men's and women's basketball teams will be on February 14, 2018 against Glenn Oaks Community College.
