Men's basketball had a tough game against the #9 Mott CC Bears and couldn't seem to get the ball rolling, suffering their first loss since the teams last met in November. The Raiders fall to 5-4 overall while the Bears stay undefeated with a 9-0 record
The Raiders couldn't seem to find a rhythm, but still managed to stay within striking distance for the most of the game, only down by 3 headed into halftime. After the half it was much of the same story but the Bears seemed to get a little more of push and started to increase their lead headed into the final minutes of the game. Not in typical Raiders fashion, they struggled to capitalize on offense and only shot 38% overall from the field. They did manage to close the gap several times but could not take the lead.
Sammie Ryans led the team with 24 points,Ike Kanu had a double double with 10 points and 15 rebounds. Camren Spicer and D'Avery Moore each had 8.
The Raiders next game will be on December 18th at 8:00 PM at Aquinas College's Sturrus Sports and Fitness Center against the Aquinas College's JV team. This will be their first meeting but the Raider's 5th this season against four year programs.
Keep up with all the Raiders action!
