Grand Rapids, Mich – GRCC's women's basketball team looks to rebound tonight after a taking a tough loss to Lake Michigan College this past Friday.
GRCC's women fell to the Redhawks on Friday 54-90 to bring their conference record to 2-5 while 3-11 overall. The Raiders shot 31% compared to Lake Michigan's 49% and lost the battle for the boards as Lake Michigan grabbed 53 rebounds to GRCC's 39.

Jayla Branch (Wyoming, MI) each got into the double digits in scoring, but as a whole the team couldn't keep up with the sharpshooting Redhawks.
GRCC hosts the Cougars of Kalamazoo Valley Community College tonight at 5:30PM at the Gerald R. Ford Fieldhouse. The cougars bring with them a 6-0 conference record having lost just two games overall for a 17-2 overall record.
The Cougars are led in scoring by sophomore center Mallory Sewell. Sewell averages 16 points per game while shooting 51% this season. She also adds 8 rebounds and a team-high 2.3 blocks per game on average. While her numbers are impressive, the Cougars spread the ball around judiciously with most players on the roster seeing time and putting numbers on the scoreboard.
