Grand Rapids, Mich – KVCC Cougars visited GRCC Monday night handing GRCC's Lady Raider basketball teams a loss as the women fell 55-79.  The loss put the women's team on two game slide leaving the the Raiders at 2-6 in MCCAA West Play and 3-12 overall. 

Despite being down by just one at the half, 28-29, GRCC couldn't hold on for the win as the Cougars outscored them 45-27 in the second half.

Kalamazoo's NJCAA 10^th ranked women had four players score double-digit figures, but leading the team was Khadijah Seawood who finished with 16 points, 14 rebounds and 5 steals.

The Raiders were led in scoring by Kristen Schubring (Novi, M) who finished with 14 points.  Sara Karamol (Rockford, MI) finished the contest with 10 point and 10 rebounds for the double-double.

Next up for GRCC are the Bruins of Kellogg Community College on Saturday January, 31^st at 1:00PM.  Kellogg sits in the middle of the pack in the West with a 4-3 conference record while 6-10 overall.
