Grand Rapids, MI – GRCC's volleyball team earned their first conference win of the season with a 3-0 victory over Lansing Community College, the sixteenth straight for Head Coach Chip Will, now undefeated when facing the Stars. 

The win leaves the Raiders with an overall record of 7-2, 1-0 in conference play, and continues a 27 game win streak against conference opponents while extending the Raiders win streak to three after the weekend's tournament action.

With the loss Lansing rests in the bottom of the MCCAA West standings at 3-8 having lost 5 straight games.
Freshman Abbie Gortsema led the charge for GRCC with 10 kills and 2.5 blocks while sophomore Emily Johnson added 8 kills and three aces.

Shelby Ruffner trailed Gortsema and Johnson in kills with 6.

Freshman setter Taylor Gates recorded 31 assists.  Audrey Wyse and Amanda Glaza combined for 15 digs.

GRCC travels to Kalamazoo Valley Community College Thursday night to face an undefeated Cougar team at 6:30 PM.
