The Raiders improved to 17-5 overall and 12-0 in conference play, extending their winning streak to eight matches and their winning streak against Lansing to 10 consecutive matches.
GRCC overwhelmed the Stars with a powerful serving performance, recording 17 service aces, the second-highest total of the season. The Raiders also committed a season-low three attacking errors while hitting .406 as a team.
All 15 Raiders saw action, and 12 players scored at least one point in the comprehensive victory.
The Raiders set the tone early in the opening set, recording three blocks in the first four points. Although GRCC finished the set with just six kills, its serving proved decisive, as the Raiders collected eight aces to cruise to a 25-12 win.
Back-to-back conference player of the week Kirstyn Lothschultz led the serving attack, recording four of the team's eight aces in the opening set alone.
GRCC carried that momentum into the second set, jumping out to a 7-0 lead before Lansing scored its first point. The Raiders continued to dominate offensively, recording 12 kills with just one error for a match-best .478 hitting percentage. Five additional service aces helped GRCC secure a 25-7 victory.
The Raiders completed the sweep with a 25-6 win in the third set. Lothschultz delivered the match-winning kill, finishing the set with four kills alongside freshman right-side hitter Lilly Slater, who also recorded four kills. Karmen Rozelle added two kills and a block.
Lothschultz led GRCC with seven kills, eight service aces and a .500 hitting percentage. She recorded all eight aces in just two sets of serving. Olivia Inthout and Garnet Mullet added three aces apiece.
Setters Breslyn Zache and Payton Taylor combined for 21 assists, with each also contributing a kill.
The victory keeps the Raiders firmly in control of the conference race with two regular-season conference matches remaining before postseason play. GRCC will travel to Kellogg Community College on Oct. 27, where a victory would guarantee the Raiders at least a share of the conference championship.
