The Raiders will face the winner of the Game 12 between Sinclair Community College and either Muskegon or Vincennes Community Colleges.
Regardless of which opponent the Raiders face, GRCC has beaten each already this season, 3-0. GRCC earned wins over Vincennes and Sinclair already today and has beaten Muskegon Community College twice in regular season play in 2012.
While GRCC’s familiarity with these opponents allows them some advantage on the floor, post –season play demands that each team another faces is given respect. No team at this point in a tournament has stuck around by virtue of luck or simply showing up; they’ve earned it.
Each of these one tournament loss teams will have won out in the loser’s bracket for a chance to play for the belt. Despite having exerted a bit more effort than GRCC by virtue of sets played over the weekend, the winning team will have the grit and perseverance to take a match from this tough #2 Raider team.
Head Coach Chip Will is up for the Challenge. “Regardless of who we face tomorrow, we’re going to take care of our side of the net and try and deliver a District Championship to GRCC” , said Will.
The Championship match will take place on Sunday November, 4
th at 1:00PM on court two of the Gerald R Ford Fieldhouse’s Hunsburger Arena. The winner will be crowned the NJCAA Region XII District F Champion and advance to the National Tournament in Toledo, OH.
