Grand Rapids, MI—There isn’t much hotter than a star in the universe. GRCC’s volleyball team, may however, be an exception to that fact. The Raiders have won a staggering 16 straight matches this season, and will look to bolster the figure even further tonight when the host the Stars of Lansing Community College.
Everything seems to be going right for GRCC on the court this season. Ranked #3 in the NJCAA polls, the Raiders have received contributions from literally every member of the team. Sophomore Kaitlyn Wolters has posted 616 assists, teammate Nicole Czehowski is averaging nearly 3 kills per set and Karleigh Strazisar is averaging 2.86 digs per set.
With such impressive numbers, the GRCC squad is feeling confident.
The Raiders host a struggling Lansing Community College squad tonight at 6:30 PM at the Gerald R. Ford Fieldhouse. The Stars are 5-16 overall and have posted a 2-7 record in conference play. GRCC will look to remain undefeated in the MCCAA.
