Grand Rapids, MI—The MCCAA keeps lining ‘em up and the Raiders keep knocking ‘em down. The girls have now won a ridiculous 18 straight matches, and they hope to make it 19 tomorrow evening. GRCC faces off against Jackson Community College at home Thursday evening, a team that they defeated earlier this season in three sets; 25-12, 25-23 and 25-10.
The Raiders sit in the third place position in the NJCAA DII polls for the fifth straight week, and will continue relying on complete team efforts to hold their position or move up in the rankings.
Sophomore Karleigh Strazisar cites the fact that the team has been working hard all year as a big part of their success. “We’ve got a great group of girls, they’re very skilled” said Strasizar. Head Coach Chip Will has been a big part of the team’s success as well. “We love Chocolate Chippy” added Strasizar.
GRCC is sitting on top of the MCCAA’s West division. The team is currently undefeated in conference play and a 27-1 overall record.
