Box Score

Grand Rapids, MI—The Raiders are starting to look a bit like the Energizer Bunny. They keep going and going and going and going. The team has now won 17 straight matches, and look like they simply cannot be stopped. The girls rolled past Lansing Community College in 3 quick sets; 25-10, 25-15 and 25-15 last night, and improved their record to 26-1 on the season.

Every member of the team saw significant playing time last night, and all showed exactly why GRCC is number one in the MCCAA.

Sophomore Nicole Czehowski had one of her best outtings of the season with an astonishing 11 kills and .733 hitting percentage, Molly Maynard and Kaitlyn Wolters combined for a total of 6 aces during the contest and Hannah Geelhoed had 5 of the teams 10.5 blocks.

Raider Freshmen saw a great deal of playing time during Tuesdays match, and took full advantage of it. Emily Johnson had 4 kills and teammate Tayler Friend earned 3.

The Raiders take the court next when they travel to Battle Creek, MI to do battle with the Bruins of Kellogg Community College on Thursday. The two teams met once earlier this season when GRCC hosted and earned the victory in a commanding fashion.
