Grand Rapids Community College’s Football staff is holding their last football tryout weekend for the upcoming 2011 season the weekend of May 14th and 15th. The events will cap off a successful recruiting season for the Raiders, who have signed over 30 players to the 2011 roster based on their performances at tryouts held in January, February, and March.
The Raider’s Staff is holding the first tryout on Saturday, May 14th at 9:00 am at Houseman Field in Grand Rapids, MI. Participants are encouraged to bring cleats and appropriate clothing for the weather. A $20 participation fee and the tryout form will be collected at the gate.
The following day the Raider coaching staff heads to the east side of the state for another tryout at Detroit Martin Luther King High School on Sunday, May 15th starting at 2 pm. There will be no charge for the tryout in Detroit, but participants are encouraged to wear cleats and wear appropriate clothing. Both tryouts are expected to last about two hours.
