GRCC’s Volleyball team heads to Ancilla College tonight for their second to last regular season contest.  The Raiders enter their match against 11-16 Ancilla College with a record of 23-5 overall and 11-1 in conference.   

The Chargers are led in kills by Miranda Hammond with 219 kills on 715 attempts.  Hammond shares the season’s leading blocker title with teammates Keri Friend and Kristen Trudell with 92 each.  Defensively Ancilla’s Nicole Trudell and Danielle Burge have led the team in digs combining for 860 this season.

The Raiders expect to have major contributions from kill leaders Molly Maynard and Nicole Czehowski who have combined in 2011 for 438 kills.  Collectively the Raiders have several threats beyond their two kill leaders.  Kelsey Darling, Hannah Geelhoed and Karleigh Strazesar each have over 100 kills this season.

Defensively the Raiders also have four 100+ diggers in Nicole Czehowski, Amanda Fleener, Karleigh Strazesar and Alexis Rutter.
The Raiders have every intention of finishing their season on a high note by coming home with wins against Ancilla tonight and Jackson CC on the 25^th.
