Sohomore Makayla Beld of Hudsonville, MI enters the Student-Athlete Spotlight this week following the Raiders first conference win of the season where she led her team with a 12 point, 10 rebound double-double, one of many double-doubles thus far this season.
Beld, already and NJCAA DII Athlete of the Week for the 17-18 season, is averaging 12.6 points per game with a 9.8 rebounds while also averaging 1.6 assists, 1.6 steals and 2.3 blocks per game.
Beld has recorded three 20+ point games thus far in 2017-18 including a 26 point performance against Schoolcraft College on 11/10/17. The Raiders have high expectations for Beld this season, and with the numbers she's producing, one can expect that she's more than capable of meeting them.
