Whitney Marsh

Whitney is currently the Director of the Gerald R. Ford Fieldhouse. Her main responsibilities include facility scheduling and planning, event management, and working as the department liaison between campus departments (facilities, maintenance, conference and event services, student life, etc.) Along with these day to day responsibilities, she stays active on campus with committee work and volunteering at events. Whitney joined the GRCC Raider family in December of 2018. Whitney came to GRCC after spending the previous 10 years in the athletic department at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. 

During her time at Grand Valley State, Marsh held 5 different positions and handled a number of duties in facility and event management as it related to outdoor fields, the Kelly Family Sports Center, the Aquatics Facility, and the Recreation Center. Most notable facility improvement, Marsh was one of the lead decision makers for the Recreation Center addition and expansion project which was $20 million for renovation of the current facility along with a 50,000 square foot addition.

Marsh graduated with a Master’s Degree in Education with an emphasis in Adult and Higher Education from Grand Valley State University in May 2010. Previously, Whitney received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Sport Management from Aquinas College. During her four years at Aquinas, Whitney played on the Women’s Basketball Team as well as being a member of SAAC (Student Athlete Advisory Committee). 

In her spare time, she enjoys staying active by playing basketball, softball, and golf as well as spending time outdoors with her wife Alicia, daughter Kameryn, and son Tracer.
